Community Toilet Establishment

SVSS has undertaken a project to address the urgent need for a community toilet at Baba Kinnaram Ashram in Chandauli district, Uttar Pradesh. The ashram, located a few hundred kilometers from Varanasi, is visited by thousands of people daily, including women and children. It has become essential to have a well-managed and maintained community toilet facility to cater to the toiletry needs of the visitors.

After conducting an initial survey and engaging in discussions with the ashram’s management, SVSS identified the requirement for two community toilets to effectively address the sanitation concerns. The project aims to provide one community toilet at Baba Kinnaram Ashram in Chandauli district, Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The community toilet will have separate sections for men and women, including:

• Eight Indian style toilet compartments for men and four compartments for women.
• One western style toilet compartment for men and one compartment for women.
• Four bathrooms, with two designated for each section.
• Provision of wash basins in both the men's and women's sections.
