Unnati Baranwal

Manager

Unnati comes from an academic background outside the development sector but has always been deeply drawn to social work due to the transformative impact it creates for communities. Her journey in the sector began in urban marginalized communities of Delhi, where she worked to address challenges in education and community development. Currently, she is leading projects and operations at Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti, with a focus on rural and tribal populations in Uttar Pradesh—her home state, where she believes the need for sustainable change is both urgent and immense

She brings strong leadership and excellent communication skills, backed by practical experience in children's education, women’s empowerment, and community mobilization. Her work with marginalized women and children has centered around increasing awareness, enabling self-reliance, and helping them discover their potential as changemakers. In her current role, she is also undergoing training in the agriculture and livelihoods sector, aiming to support income generation and resilience among rural families. For her, working in the NGO sector is more than a profession, it’s a commitment to creating a world where the next generation can thrive in harmony, free from violence and discrimination.

Passionate about creating an inclusive society free from child abuse, domestic violence, she envisions a world where current and future generations have access to equal opportunities, dignity, and peace. Her work is grounded in the belief that the seeds of change we plant today will shape a more just and equitable tomorrow.
