Pratima Patel is a member of the Ashwi SHG Group, which is part of the Nari Ekta CLF in Bhadohi. A year ago, she took out a loan of ₹2.5 lakh to start a bike agency, but this amount was not sufficient for her venture. Later, she participated in a comic workshop organized by the Project "Promotion of Women-Led Enterprises" (PWLE) by the Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti. During this workshop, she shared the challenges she faced in growing her business.
The staff of the project communicated with her CLF and SHG, and based on her needs and potential, they helped her secure an additional loan of ₹4 lakh. With this funding, Pratima expanded her business by starting a two-bike agency, partnering with Hero and Honda companies. As a result, she was able to provide 9 jobs to people in her village and experienced significant business growth.
Pratima is now earning a good income from her venture and is very grateful to the PWLE project. She also feels proud to be a part of this initiative and is actively promoting awareness among women about the opportunities to start their own businesses.
