In a work-4-progress project, SVSS has conducted "Who Wants to be a Leader" sessions for aspiring market experts in the village, fostering skill development and knowledge application. Alongside, they facilitated the use of tools and techniques to enhance market understanding. To spread awareness effectively, a lively street play was organized, engaging the villagers and delivering key messages. The project received valuable support from the Laca Xia Foundation and Development Alternatives, enabling its successful implementation and community empowerment. Together, they strive for sustainable development and economic upliftment in the village.
In Prayagraj, Bhadohi, and Mirzapur, SVSS took the lead, conducting volunteer training to fulfill a crucial need. From each of the 10 villages, a volunteer was chosen, empowered with knowledge, their mission had just begun. Supported by STEP Foundation Switzerland, their efforts gained strength, they spread awareness on Covid, going to any length. Equipped with vital information, they engaged with the community, dispelling myths, promoting safety, with unwavering unity. Through door-to-door visits and community sessions, They educated, answered questions, and addressed misconceptions. SVSS and STEP Foundation, a partnership that brought hope, Volunteers on a mission, helping communities cope.
As part of an ongoing project, SVSS conducted a Women's Day celebration in the village of Mirzapur on the 8th of March. The event aimed to raise awareness about women's rights among the residents, marking the occasion of International Women's Day. SVSS organized engaging activities and discussions to empower women and foster gender equality. Through this initiative, they strived to create a more inclusive and equitable society. The project continues to make progress in uplifting women and promoting their rights.
With support from Godrej and Development Alternatives, SVSS organized awareness sessions on Integrated Fishery and Poultry Enterprises. In the villages of Barabanki, Bhadohi, Chandauli, and Mirzapur districts, they shared knowledge and strategies to ensure success. Empowering the locals, SVSS paved the way for sustainable livelihoods.
On the occasion of Children's Day, SVSS, in collaboration with ChildLine India Foundation, organized a project inauguration at Mirzapur railway station, where railway officers officiated the event.
On 15th August 2022, the students of SVSS celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The significance of this historic day was shared with all the students, highlighting the freedom struggle and the sacrifices made by our national heroes. The spirit of unity, diversity, and national pride was instilled in their hearts. The students actively participated in various activities such as flag hoisting, singing the national anthem, and delivering speeches on the importance of independence. They showcased their talent through cultural performances and skits portraying the freedom struggle. The celebration served as a reminder of the hard-fought freedom and inspired the students to value and preserve the independence of our nation. SVSS continued to nurture patriotic values among the young minds, shaping them to be responsible citizens.
SVSS organized a comprehensive awareness session on Childline 1098, shedding light on how it operates and serves the community. Children from various villages in Mirzapur were informed about the essential services provided by Childline 1098 and how it can be accessed during emergencies. Through engaging discussions and interactive presentations, SVSS explained the significance of Childline 1098 as a helpline for children in need of care and protection. The children were educated about their rights, including protection against abuse, exploitation, and neglect. They were encouraged to share the Childline 1098 helpline number with others and assured that their calls would be responded to promptly and confidentially. SVSS's initiative aimed to empower children with the knowledge to seek help when in distress and create a safer environment for all.
During a donor visit organized by SVSS where Lacaxia Foundation donors visited, Taramani, an aspiring entrepreneur who had successfully started her own enterprise producing sindoor boxes, shared her inspiring journey with all the donors.

Alongside the festivities, SVSS took the opportunity to educate children about Childline 1098 and its functioning. The significance of this helpline for children in need of care and protection was explained, emphasizing its availability 24/7. Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, children were informed about the services provided by Childline 1098, including rescue, rehabilitation, and counselling. They were encouraged to share the helpline number with friends and family, ensuring that no child suffers in silence. SVSS assured the children that their calls would be treated confidentially and professionally. By raising awareness about Childline 1098, SVSS aimed to empower children and create a safer and more supportive environment for all. The celebration of Christmas became an opportunity to spread compassion and protect the well-being of children within the community.
